What this service is
Headlight restoration removes oxidation from polycarbonate lenses through staged sanding and polishing, then seals the surface to slow the haze returning. It is one of the most noticeable improvements on an older vehicle.
- Cleaning and masking around the lens, then staged sanding to remove the oxidised layer.
- Machine polishing to bring the lens back to clarity.
- A protective sealant applied, because unsealed lenses re-oxidise quickly.

What to expect
Restoration works on external oxidation. Lenses with internal condensation, cracking or damage inside the housing cannot be corrected from the outside — we will tell you if that is what we find.

- How long does the clarity last?
- It depends on the sealant, sun exposure and where the vehicle is parked. Sealed lenses hold up far longer than unsealed ones, but polycarbonate will eventually haze again.
- Will it improve my headlight output?
- A clearer lens lets more light through than a heavily oxidised one. We describe the visual improvement honestly rather than quoting figures.
- Can both headlights be done together?
- Yes, and we recommend it — matching lenses look considerably better than one restored and one hazed.
