Terms & Conditions
These terms explain how NOVA AUTO CARE, operated by NOVA CAR WASH & AUTO CARE INC., handles requests, approvals and mobile service. By requesting or approving service, you agree to the terms that apply to that service.
Quick facts
- A booking request is not confirmed until NOVA reviews and confirms it.
- NOVA explains material scope or price changes and requires approval before proceeding.
- Safe, legal and authorized parking and vehicle access are the customer's responsibility.
- Detailing and restoration improve condition but cannot promise perfect or permanent results.
01
Acceptance and accurate information
These terms apply when you use this website, submit a request, approve a revision or authorize NOVA to perform service. Please provide accurate contact, vehicle, condition, location and access information and update NOVA if anything changes.
You must own the vehicle or have authority to approve work on it, including leased, borrowed, company and fleet vehicles.
02
Booking request and confirmation
Submitting a booking request does not automatically confirm the appointment. NOVA reviews availability, travel, service scope and any condition requirements before confirming.
Requested dates and windows are preferences until NOVA confirms the service, location and timing by phone, text or email. Customer and guest response tools may be used to approve, decline or request changes to a NOVA proposal; they do not bypass NOVA review.
03
Service scope and authorization
NOVA performs the services and add-ons approved for the described vehicle. Work outside the approved scope is discussed before it is added. NOVA may decline work outside its equipment, training, safety or launch scope.
Where reasonably necessary to perform the booked service, you authorize NOVA staff to unlock, start, move or reposition the vehicle on or immediately around the service site. This is not authorization for unrestricted driving or road testing. Any road test would require separate authorization where applicable.
04
Estimated Total, Approved Total and Final Charge
The Estimated Total is based on the selections, vehicle details, condition and location submitted. It may remain subject to NOVA review, including travel, promotion eligibility, specialty handling and condition.
If NOVA proposes a material change, it will explain the revised scope, timing and price. The Approved Total is the amount accepted after that review. NOVA will not proceed with a material service-scope or price increase without customer approval.
The Final Charge reflects the work and adjustments actually approved and completed, plus applicable HST. It may be lower where approved work is not performed. All prices are in Canadian dollars unless stated otherwise.
05
Taxes and payment
HST is shown separately and added where applicable. No payment is collected through the booking request. NOVA confirms accepted payment methods and any approved deposit or prepayment arrangement before service; payment is normally due after completion.
06
Mobile location, access and travel
You are responsible for legal and authorized parking, safe vehicle access, reasonable working space and any required condo, landlord, employer or property-management permission. NOVA may decline or reschedule where the site is unsafe, obstructs traffic, violates property rules, lacks sufficient workspace or prevents safe access.
Approximate travel tiers are 0–25 km included, 25–40 km +$15, 40–60 km +$30, and over 60 km or outside normal coverage by quotation plus NOVA approval. Travel tier pending NOVA confirmation based on distance from our M2J 5H4 service base.
See the Mobile Service & Weather Policy for site and weather requirements.
07
Weather, delays and rescheduling
NOVA has final discretion to postpone, modify or reschedule work where weather, roads or site conditions could compromise safety or quality. A weather-related reschedule initiated by NOVA carries no customer cancellation fee.
Cancellation, late-change, no-show and callout terms are explained in the Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy. NOVA is not responsible for reasonable delays caused by severe weather, unsafe travel, emergencies, equipment failure, illness, utility interruption or other events outside reasonable control, but will communicate and rebook fairly.
08
Pre-existing condition and documentation
NOVA may photograph or otherwise document visible condition before, during and after work. Operational photos support assessment, quality control, service records and dispute prevention; private booking photos are not automatically approved for marketing.
NOVA is not responsible for pre-existing damage or deterioration it did not cause. Examples include scratches, chips, cracks, peeling or failing clear coat, oxidation, previously repaired or repainted panels, brittle trim, loose badges or mouldings, damaged wheel finishes, deteriorated leather or materials, fragile interior coatings, aftermarket accessories, and mechanical or electrical defects.
Please disclose known damage, recent repairs, coatings, wraps, film, loose parts, aftermarket equipment and sensitive materials before service. Some deterioration becomes visible only after safe cleaning.
09
Results and service limitations
Detailing and restoration improve condition; they do not recreate a new vehicle or guarantee complete, perfect or permanent correction.
- Deep stains and odours may not fully disappear, especially where contamination has penetrated padding, trim or ventilation systems.
- Deep scratches, chips, clear-coat failure and body damage may remain and cannot be corrected through detailing alone.
- Paint correction is improvement, not repainting. Stage 1 is a one-step cosmetic correction. Paint thickness and condition determine what is safe, and NOVA may reduce correction aggressiveness rather than risk damage. No fixed defect-removal percentage is guaranteed.
- Headlight, trim and glass restoration results depend on the age, construction, prior damage and remaining usable material.
- Coating and sealant durability depends on preparation, use, mileage, weather, storage, washing and maintenance.
- Wheel cosmetic spray refinishing and brake caliper painting require suitable surface condition and curing conditions; corrosion, previous coatings, temperature, humidity, moisture, wind or dust may limit or postpone results.
10
Personal belongings and child seats
Remove valuables and unnecessary personal belongings before service. NOVA is not responsible for undisclosed or unsecured personal property unless loss or damage is caused by NOVA negligence.
Child seats should generally remain installed unless removal is separately agreed. Cleaning around or beneath an installed seat may be limited. NOVA does not reinstall or certify child-seat installation unless expressly agreed and appropriately qualified to do so.
11
Specialty vehicles
Selecting Specialty Vehicle does not automatically change the price. NOVA reviews value, rarity, condition, construction, modifications and special handling requirements. Any material adjustment is confirmed before service.
NOVA may decline or modify work where the vehicle or risk requires specialist handling beyond NOVA's scope.
12
Tire, puncture and TPMS services
Tire work is safety-critical and may be declined where the vehicle, wheel, tire, equipment or site does not allow safe work.
- Seasonal service applies to mounted wheel-and-tire assemblies. Wheels are torqued to the applicable manufacturer specification, and customers should follow the re-torque guidance provided after service.
- Puncture service is limited to eligible external tread-area repair after inspection. NOVA does not repair sidewall, shoulder, structural or run-flat damage, unsafe tires, or punctures that do not meet repair criteria.
- A TPMS scan or relearn checks supported systems but does not guarantee that a failed sensor can be repaired. Sensor replacement, compatible parts, programming or additional diagnosis is separate where applicable.
13
Battery, OBD and light maintenance
- Mobile Battery Boost is upon availability. NOVA is not a 24/7 emergency roadside provider and does not guarantee an immediate response.
- An OBD-II scan and report identifies available codes on supported systems; it is not a complete mechanical diagnosis and does not guarantee the cause or repair.
- Filters, wipers and bulbs require compatible, accessible fitment. Vehicle-specific parts or procedures may require VIN, year, engine or other verification, and unsupported work may be declined.
14
Photos and privacy
Operational photos may be used privately for condition documentation, quality control, booking records and dispute prevention. Marketing or public use requires clear consent or a clear permission choice. NOVA will avoid or obscure licence plates, addresses, belongings and identifying information where practical.
See the Privacy Policy for account, photo, guest-link, retention and service-provider details.
15
Satisfaction and correction
Please inspect the vehicle when practical at service completion. If you believe something within the booked scope was missed, notify NOVA promptly and give us a reasonable opportunity to inspect and correct it.
NOVA uses a rework-first approach where correction is appropriate. This is not an unconditional refund promise, but NOVA may offer a refund, partial refund or credit at its discretion where the circumstances support it. Nothing in these terms removes rights available under applicable consumer law.
16
Responsibility and liability
NOVA takes responsibility for loss or damage caused by its negligence and will review concerns fairly. To the extent permitted by law, NOVA is not responsible for pre-existing defects, disclosed limitations, customer-provided misinformation, unsafe or unauthorized sites, unsecured belongings, third-party work, or events outside its reasonable control.
Where liability may lawfully be limited, it will be limited to direct loss reasonably connected to the booked service. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits statutory consumer rights.
17
Website and intellectual property
Website content is general information and may change. NOVA names, branding, original text, photographs and design may not be copied or used commercially without permission. Links or third-party services are subject to their own terms.
18
Privacy, changes and governing law
NOVA's Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. NOVA may update these terms for future requests; the terms applicable when a service is confirmed will govern that service unless a change is agreed.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada. Any dispute will be addressed in the courts or forums with jurisdiction in Ontario, subject to mandatory consumer rights.
