What this service is

Paint correction and polishing uses machine polishing to reduce swirl marks, haze and light defects sitting within the clear coat. We inspect the paint under corrective lighting and test a small section before agreeing on a scope.

  • An inspection of the paint under corrective lighting to see what is actually there.
  • A test section to establish what level of improvement is realistic on your vehicle.
  • Staged polishing — as light as the paint allows, as thorough as the defects require.

What's included

  • Decontamination and paint preparation
  • Inspection under corrective lighting
  • Test section agreed with you before starting
  • Machine polishing in stages
  • Panel wipe-down and final inspection
  • A protective layer applied after polishing

Who it's best for

  • Dark or solid-colour paint showing swirl marks
  • Vehicles previously washed through automatic brush washes
  • Owners preparing paint before a protective coating

Benefits

  • Reduced swirl marks and wash haze
  • Improved gloss, depth and reflection clarity
  • A properly prepared surface for protection
  • A written note on what was and was not achievable

What to expect

Results vary based on paint condition, defect depth and the condition of the clear coat. We do not guarantee scratch removal. Defects that have gone through the clear coat cannot be polished out and require paint or bodywork instead — we will say so plainly after inspecting the vehicle.

Optional add-ons

Add-ons are quoted individually once we have seen the vehicle.

  • Enhanced SiO2 Paint Protection
  • Headlight Restoration
  • Wheel Deep Cleaning
  • Engine Bay Detailing

Paint Correction & Polishing questions

Something not covered here? Contact us or read the general FAQ.

Can you remove this scratch?
Sometimes. If the mark sits within the clear coat, polishing can reduce or remove it. If your fingernail catches in it, it has likely gone deeper and polishing will improve its appearance at best. Inspection tells us which it is.
How much improvement should I expect?
We answer that after a test section on your actual paint, not before. Paint hardness, thickness and existing condition all change the outcome, so a number quoted sight-unseen would be a guess.
Can this be done at my home?
Correction work needs suitable lighting, space and conditions. Send photos or contact us with your address and we will tell you honestly whether it can be done on site.
